Chief Blackwell Discusses Prescription Drug Misuse

Prescription drug misuse is growing epidemic in the United States, especially in Tennessee. In 2014, there were more than 1,200 confirmed drug overdose deaths throughout the state according to the Center for Disease Control. The main source? Opioids.

Paul Blackwell, the Chief of Police for the Tullahoma Police Department, knows the problem all too well. In the video above, Chief Blackwell discusses opioid addiction and the issues it create in the community.
