Stay Safe this Fourth of July

June 28, 2017 By Alex Windings 1 Comment

The Fourth of July holiday is right around the corner and summer is officially here. What better time to bask in the sun, enjoy BBQ and relax with your loved ones? Whether you are spending this holiday at the lake or enjoying a nice “stay-cation,” remember it is always important to be aware of the location of your belongings and to keep your medications safe.

In the past year, 212,000 Tennessee adults used prescription pain relievers non-medically, according to the Tennessee Department of Mental and Substance Abuse Services. It has become increasingly more important to make sure you are securing your medications.

Follow these tips to help keep your prescription medications safe and secure this Fourth of July.

  1. Count your pills. Count your pills once every two weeks to prevent theft and ensure medications are being taken properly.
  2. Lock up your pills.
    • Purchase a lock box. Boxes can be purchased online or at a local drug store. Contact your local coalition to see if a lock box is available to you for no charge.
    • Hide your lock box in a safe and secure location where others would not think to look.
  1. Drop off your pills. Get any unused or expired medications out of your home by disposing of them at a drop box in your area.

Counting your prescription drugs, locking them away and dropping off your expired pills will help you stay carefree as you enjoy the long, holiday weekend.

Excellent information, these tips are very good to take care of our medicines, another way of taking care is to have a little knowledge about accounting because through the accounting, the medicines can not be obtained without proper authorization, I invite you to enter the following link: http://www.ups.edu.ec/contabilidad-auditoria-cuenca there you can find information about Accounting and Audit students.
